Batteries Compliance Scheme

A corporate body may apply to the Minister for approval to act as a compliance scheme.
The process is set out in S.I. No. 268 of 2008, Waste Management (Batteries and Accumulators) Regulations 2008.

Beer & Wine Retailer's Off Licence

Authorises sales of wine & sweets for consumption off premises not in open vessels and in quantities not exceeding 2 gallons or one dozen reputed quart bottles and not less than 1 reputed pint bottle.

Building Surveyor - registration

Persons wishing to use the title "Building Surveyor" in Ireland are required to complete a registration process.

The purpose of the authorisation scheme is the protection of consumers, by ensuring that people using the title "Building Surveyor" have the correct qualifications or experience.
The process is set out in Part 5 of the Building Control Act 2007 (Number 21 of 2007). This legislation was implemented on 1 May 2008 by the Building Control Act 2007 (Commencement) Order 2008 (S.I. No. 50 of 2008). Both the Act and the Commencement Order can be found on www.irishstatutebook.ie.
